Why should I watch this 2010 drama/adventure movie "127 Hours"?
This movie is amazing. Its direction is unlike anything the industry has seen and is breathtakingly original. The claustrophobic and oppressive cinematography and spine-tingling audio make it a cinematic experience unlike any other. Its simple yet exquisite world-building makes me almost drool and feel the rumble of our hero's empty stomach in the eerie vastness of the desert.
The acting, however, is a delicious cherry on top of this undeniably fantastic cinematic magic cake. James Franco delivers a wonderfully complex and intricate portrayal; His small facial movements show a happy life with an underlying family tragedy.
I almost forgot that Aaron Ralston was a serial sex offender who sexually abused countless women because of how sympathetic and believable his portrayal is. Incredibly effective.

Why Should I Watch This 2015 Western/Drama "The Revenant"?
One of the best films ever made, it's a masterpiece in every way: the acting, the director, the cinematography, the music, the settings—everything feels so authentic. The aesthetics are also quite amazing.
Many of the scenes surprised me and made me replay to check if they were real and how someone could pull them off. One of the most intense and realistic scenes I've seen is the bear attack sequence, in particular. Despite the simplicity of the story, the suspense is intensely high and never leaves you feeling lost.
The entire effort put in by the team for this film is beyond imagination. The cast is excellent, both Tom Hardy and Leonardo do fantastic work and Leonardo alone should have won an Oscar for this role.

Alive (1993) - In 1972, a plane carrying 45 people, including members of a rugby team, crashes into a mountain en route from Uruguay to Chile. Parts of the downed plane were scattered across the endless frozen landscape. Many of them died of wounds and exhaustion while fighting. The rationing of wine and chocolate allowed the survivors to get by for several days, but for how long?
One day, their hunger and determination to escape lead them to eat the flesh of a fellow traveler's frozen body. Only 16 of them survived and reached their homes. Young Ethan Hawke plays the tough role of Nando. The effort put in by the film team to execute this project under such dire circumstances is noticeable.

A moral lesson rarely found in philosophy books, much less in movies, is projected onto the screen in "The Aviator," a biopic on Howard Hughes (1905-1966) starring Leonardo DiCaprio and written by John Logan. The moral of the story is that "the way to find happiness in life is to love one's work".

Why Should I Watch This 2013 Drama/Action Movie "Rush"?
This movie is a real gem. You might be witnessing the real Niki Lauda because of how well Daniel Brühl captures his character. Although Thor appears in all the posters of the film, Niki Lauda (Daniel Bruhl) and James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth) gets more attention in the film. In this film, the fierceness of Lauda and Hunt's rivalry is masterfully handled.
It's a shame this film didn't win any Oscars because it's further proof that the Academy Award jury doesn't know much about celebrity biopics or anything else related to the film industry.
A must-watch movie for those who love motorsports. It's a unique racing film with mind-blowingly intense races, drivers' love lives, devastating crashes, and inspiring moments of recovery.

Based on the actual account of Francis Ouimet, played by Shia LaBeouf, the amateur champion of the 1913 U.S. Open golf championship, and written by Mark Frost. A few details from the historical record were altered to heighten the drama and tension, and these changes are effective in this setting.
Although Shia LaBeouf's portrayal of a young man is more contemporary than I would have preferred, you can't help but admire and root for him. Josh Flitter, who portrays Eddie Lowery, Ouimet's youthful caddy, steals the show. This movie features some effective camera angles and special effects shots. Based on a true story: Chaz Palminteri's autobiographical 'A Bronx Tale' gets new life as a musical. For three decades, Chazz Palminteri has been reviving his life story, first as a one-man play, then as a film, and now as a Broadway musical. “It's because they're archetypes, these characters, the father, the son.

Calogero goes to Sonny for advice, and Sonny tells him that a man only gets three loves in his life, and if Calogero thinks Jane can be one of the greats, then race doesn't matter. Nothing else matters.
Is The Bronx Tale a good movie?
"A Bronx Tale" is a very funny movie at times and very touching at other times. It's full of life and colorful characters and great lines of dialogue, and De Niro, making his directorial debut, finds the right notes as he moves from laughs to anger.
Why do audiences love the movie "A Bronx Tale"?
It's not your typical gangster movie, it's a great drama and life lesson between a father and son growing up in the Bronx. It has the feel of a stage play theater well transformed into a live-action movie. The quality of the story is certainly there but it seems to lack that heartfelt emotion which makes it difficult to relate to the emotional experiences of the characters. An example from the movie "Good Fellas" is the moment of satisfaction and yet pain when "Tommy" is shot.
life-changing movies |
A Bronx Tale sees the roles of the three main characters clashing with each other, making it difficult to tell who is right. The father figure certainly takes the initiative but some lessons need to be looked at from another perspective. Calogero is a young boy who witnesses a murder and his father tries to convince him that he must do the "right thing". It is a lesson that affects both sides.
There are some great jokes as well but mostly we see the struggles and hard lessons he learns as he grows up.
It is a very enjoyable film to watch and relatable in many ways.

Why do people love Good Will Hunting?
Good Will Hunting is timeless because it addresses certain topics that men simply refuse to talk about. Dreams, weakness, love, heartbreak, loss, hope, family, fears, and friendship. They are all here.
What is the moral of Good Will Hunting?
The meaning of life is giving meaning to life. "Good Will Hunting" shows how a life devoted strictly to education rather than to love, faith, o belief can be tragic.

Why should I watch "Good Will Hunting Movie"?
One of the most important films in the history of cinema. In my opinion, this is a movie that you must watch at least once in your life, because it teaches some incredibly powerful lessons, brilliantly performed by actors like Robin Williams, Matt Damon, Rest His Soul, and Ben Affleck. This movie belongs to a genre that is most important for someone to watch because this movie is about people's Relationships, insecurities, childhood trauma, and most of all - development.
Good Will Hunting shows character development in a way I haven't seen in movies before, Will is always trying to push your buttons and figure out what makes you tick and it's obvious why. As you watch the movie. But in the end, he is a changed man, a mirrored version of the Will we are introduced to at the beginning of the film.
The film is also unique in the way it teaches its lessons – through Will's therapy sessions throughout the film. Normally by the end of a movie, you'd be left struggling to convey a message to the audience, but instead, this movie wants to tell you through Will's therapist, almost not exactly what he has to say. Not only for desire but also for you.
This is an undisputed masterpiece on my list.

Don Corleone was inspired by real-life mob boss Frank Costello. Don Vito Corleone bears similarities to many real-life mobsters, including Joe Profesi, who used his olive oil distribution as a front for his illegal activities, and Carlo Gambino, who used a quiet, flashy style on his way to power.

The Corleone family are fictional characters in both novels and films created by Mario Puzo, who first appeared in his 1969 novel, "The Godfather".
Why is Godfather considered a masterpiece?
It made Italians seem like a more fully realized people and not stereotypes… It helped to Italianize American culture. The Godfather also changed the star system in the 1970s. As Don Vito Corleone, Marlon Brando won the Oscar for Best Actor (which he turned down) and was nominated for Best Actor.

Is Carlito's Way worth watching?
Carlito's Way is a very underrated Al Pacino movie. The film is perhaps the best crime story I've seen since Goodfellas (1990), with Pacino giving another great performance alongside the rest of the cast. The story of Carlito's path is extremely fascinating and can be very sad at times.
Is Carlito's Way Based on a True Story?
Carlito Brigante (Al Pacino) is based on three real-life people. Carlito Brigante, Al Pacino's character, is based on three people Torres knew. However, because of his association with the crime, Torres has always refused to be named.

In the film, Pacino plays Carlito Brigante, a Nuyorican criminal who vows to straighten up and retire to heaven. However, his criminal past proves difficult to escape and he is unwittingly drawn into the same activities that landed him in prison in the first place.
Is Carlito's path related to Scarface?
Carlito's Way After Hours is based on a book and Scarface is a remake of the 1932 film. While Scarface puts a new spin on the material, it's still a rehashed story of a gangster's rise to power. However, Carlito's path is a redemption story.

"Yes Man" is a Memoir written by Danny Wallace based on a year in the author's life, in which he chooses to say "yes" to any offer that comes his way. It was also lightly adapted into the 2008 film "Yes Man" starring Jim Carrey. Cover as seen on hardback, first edition printing.
What do people think about this movie?
A funny movie. Jim Carrey is great, the acting is great and the concept is great. It's unfortunately clichéd and falls short of its potential, but as a movie to sit down with your lover with the lights dimmed, it's the perfect blend of comedy and romance to make you realize how much you love her. I just wish Carrey wasn't forced to play it so straight, if he had the Carrey-isms he's famous for, this movie would be as good as Bruce Almighty.

What is "Groundhog Day" and why is it celebrated?
Groundhog Day has its roots in the ancient Christian tradition of Candlemas when the clergy blesses and distribute candles needed for winter. Candles indicate how long and cold the winter will be. The Germans expanded this concept by choosing an animal - the hedgehog - as a means of predicting the weather.
Why did Phil get stuck on "Groundhog Day"?
No specific reason is given as to why Phil Connors (Bill Murray) is stuck in the time loop. "Groundhog Day" succeeds because the screenplay doesn't overwhelm the audience with explanations and avoids the need to spend the film constantly chasing Phil around some pointless goal.
Who Cursed Phil on Groundhog Day?
This curse was given to Phil Connors by Ned Ryerson. Think about it. Phil had been going to Punxsutawney for years to cover the Groundhog Day festivities. What is it that he connects with someone from his childhood, whom he has completely forgotten, but remembers vividly?
Should You Watch This "Bill Murray - Groundhog Day" Movie?
I love this movie so much. Just brilliant. What a great plot and cast. The concept is odd, that Phil is repeatedly captured on the same day, yet it works. Bill Murray was excellent as Phil and his comic presence, timing, and characterizations were on show to keep us entertained. An incredibly funny, yet poignant film.
