Why should I watch this horror movie?
Simply put, I'm disappointed that an excellent horror film didn't get the respect it deserved. It was and still is a terrifying horror classic. Not many movies can keep you in suspense and create tension in this way. Acting, writing, and directing are all excellent.
The plot and its unexpected twists make it a satisfying and watchable film that I have loved for years. This whole effect makes "House of the Devil", despite its slow start, a magnificently surprising horror classic.
